The Aquarium, also known as Fischer’s Rocks, is located between The Baths and Spanish Town, in the southwest of Virgin Gorda.
Rocky formations, small caves and nooks and granite boulders – that are believed to be the result of volcanic eruptions –provide the perfect hiding place for the tiny sea creatures that live here. Explore the small crevices to undercover the colorful and shy fish and invertebrates that are tucked in them.
Pillar and fire corals along with colorful sponges coat the rocks and the sandy bottom. The beautiful underwater architecture and the many marine species are the ones that inspired the name of this diving site, it truly looks as though everything was pieced together intentionally.
Chromis, French grunts, angelfish, parrotfish, moorish idols, chubs, snappers, sergeant majors, blue tangs, moray eels, lobsters, stingrays and nurse sharks populate these waters and wait to accompany you.
Labeled as one of the most exciting and picturesque diving site in the whole of British Virgin Islands, The Aquarium is the diving site you have to check off your list if you want an unique experience!
