BVI Snorkeling
The British Virgin Islands are a fantastic place for snorkeling. Warm waters, full of sea life and corrals, with a variety of surprising caves and caverns.
The best time for snorkeling are summer months, when the North Swell is small. During the winter month, the most popular snorkeling locations are in the Sir Francis Drake Channel around Norman, Cooper and Peter Island, since they are shielded from the swells by Tortola. Conditions become more complicated the closer the distance to Virgin Gorda, particularly because of the trade winds.
