Accessible by boat, Alice’s Wonderland is located on the south west side of Ginger Island, very close to another popular diving site, Ginger Steps.
Explore the captivating underwater topography which consists of narrow channels, sandy canyons and rocky ridges which hide the inhabitants of these clear blue waters, which have a visibility of over 100 feet in some areas.
Healthy patches of pillar, star, brain corals and mushroom shaped coral formations – which are the ones that inspired the name for this diving site – coat the underwater rocky structures with vivid colors. Green and purple sea fans dance along with the currents and complete this colorful patchwork.
Expect to witness a wide array of marine species, including: reef sharks, eagle rays, Southern stingrays, barracuda, huge lobster, Hawksbill turtles, blacktail combers, groupers, African pompano, crevalle jacks, amberjacks, parrotfish, squirrelfish, angelfish, snappers, spade fish and puggerfish.
Alice’s Wonderland is a diving site hugely popular for its flourishing coral gardens that provide shelter to some of the most exciting and colorful marine species in the whole of British Virgin island.
